H.E. Faizullah Zaki, the ambassador of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in Indonesia has visited with Mr. Thomas Vargas, the Regional Representative for the United Nation High Commissioner for Refugees-UNHCR on 17 September. It is worth mentioning that Mrs. Julia Zajkowski, the high ranking employee of UNHCR and Mr. Khalil Rahman Reshteen, the first secretary and consul of this Embassy were presence as well.
The two sides have mainly discussed on important agenda including Afghan refugees and asylum seekers in Indonesia and specifically the Afghans who gather in Kalideres. H.E. Faizullah Zaki, beside the Afghans’ challenges, has requested the UNHCR head of mission to contribute and support the Afghans’ refugees on educational affairs and vocational activities, and have been pledged by UNHCR head on it.
